What you’ll learn
Participants will gain hands-on experience in recognising and responding to medical emergencies, including:
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for infants and children
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use for young children
- Managing choking and airway obstructions
- Recognising and treating allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
- Handling asthma and respiratory emergencies
- Controlling bleeding and responding to shock
- Managing burns, fractures, head injuries, and concussions
- Recognising meningitis and other serious infections
- Handling poisoning, bites, and stings
- Developing emergency response plans for childcare settings
Exams & certification
- Participants will be assessed throughout the course to ensure they meet all learning objectives.
- Upon successful completion, learners will receive an FAIB-accredited Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification.
